Persib menjadi tuan rumah grup A Piala Presiden dengan lawan Tira Persikabo, Persebaya Surabaya, dan Perseru Serui.
Dari tiga lawan yang akan dihadapi Persib nanti, pelatih kiper Persib, Gatot Prasetyo, menilai Tira Persikabo dan Persebaya merupakan tim yang harus diwaspadai Maung Bandung.
"Saya tidak tahu kondisi Perseru saat ini bagaimana, tapi kalau melihat Persebaya sedang on fire, termasuk juga Tira Persikabo," ujar Gatot di Bandung, Rabu (27/2/2019).
Namun, lanjut Gatot, tim Maung Bandung tetap diminta untuk tidak meremehkan Perseru. Kendati, kekuatan tim asal Serui itu belum diketahui.
"Tapi, memang kami lebih baik melihat kekuatan kami sendiri karena kekuatan lawan tidak tahu persis," ucap Gatot.
Diharapkan Gatot, lini pertahanan Persib Bandung terus semakin solid jelang Piala Presiden 2019. "Dengan adanya Piala Presiden sangat bagus bagi pemain untuk membangun chemistry persiapan Liga 1 nanti," kata Gatot.
